SGI Octane R10k

With almost all SGI's they have a unique look to them and colors. the Octane is this teal color and has a light bar that when on will disclose the status of the system you can see it right below the Octane logo

When you open the door you can now access the power and reset buttons.

Witht the front panel off you can now access the HDD's

The rear of the computer is all business the octane is modular the mobo slides out from the back along with the video card and the powersupply. and the optional PCI card cage that would be installed in the very center.

Sliding out the Mobo you can see the Processor heat sink and the RAM

This system was the high end workstation that SGI produced to replace the Indigo2 and was eventually replaced by the Fuel
